Artist Statement
I’ve always been interested in art since I was very young,
drawing regularly and have been making objects like hats and other garments for
the past three years. I have an interest in 3D design but like to explore many
art mediums. I have good experience using computers and can make effective use
of them creatively; I have proven to be a very fast learner using new programs.
Art Based Education:
I finished my Art GCSE in 2014, and got a place taking the
Extended Diploma at University College for Creative Arts Canterbury having
presented the portfolio of work I’ve developed over many years.
Work Experience:
I worked on an Apprenticeship in Finances before starting my
studies in art.
I’ve also done freelance work as a photographer for a local
newspaper (Thanet Gazette).
Personal Achievements:
Over the past six months I have been able to overcome my
personal struggles that have affected my day-to-day life for many years. The
fact that I actually want to be at UCA studying on an art course has helped, a
daily routine that I enjoy and makes me want to succeed in life.
Interests:
I like to create various pieces of clothing in my spare
time, particularly hat.
I regularly draw using many different materials.
I find sound as an art medium very interesting.
